Actium XL

The XL is the top of the range, with a maximum speed of 18,000 rpm — nearly twice what the rest of the family turns. Spinning faster is how it delivers its output from a package this size.

High speed asks for reduction, so the XL is shown here with an integrated gearbox rather than a bare shaft. It runs on a 260–450 V bus and, like every Actium motor, contains no rare-earth magnets.

This is the drive for work beyond ground support — heavier vehicles, and applications where the duty cycle looks less like an apron and more like a road.
